Battery Tutorial: Motion Detector (PIR1) (copy)
PIR1 You will need one CR123A battery for your motion detector. Before changing the battery, make sure that your system is disarmed and note that you may here some beeping from the panel when you open the motion detector. To open the sensor, use a small screwdriver to remove the screw at the bottom of the detector. You can then pull the detector off of the bracket to access the battery inside. Remove the old battery and replace with the new CR123A battery. Place the detector on the bracket and secure it with the small screw. Make sure there are no gaps and the sensor is fully closed.
