Battery Tutorial: Smart Thermostat (TBZ48)
Your panel will alert you when the batteries in your thermostat need to be changed. To change the batteries, follow these steps:
Pull the faceplate off of the thermostat to access the batteries by using the grooves on the bottom. Leverage the face plate off without removing the whole device from the bracket.
Remove the old batteries from the thermostat. You may need to use a butter knife to leverage the batteries out.
You will need four AA batteries. Slide the new batteries into place in the direction indicated on the thermostat.
Replace the faceplate by lining up the bottom and then securing the top. Make sure that it snaps into place with no gaps.
Remember to safely dispose of the old batteries.
